my amazing way to work
first i did not really trust it, that’s why you hear about it only now, i did not want to post any “unlaid eggs” or stuff that might not work out in the end.
but, believe it or not, I GOT A JOB! when we were almost set to go back to euope, disappointed, but not really unhappy, this job turned up, literally in the eleventh hour and completely out the blue, and it is in the IT industry, so everything i really need to apply for residence.
this IT company (delta group ltd) actually is a ‘one-man-band’ which has now grown by 100%, me that is, and we are doing hardware repairs (yes, over here it is still worth it to replace motherboards, cd drives and the like!), we install software (mainly windows – boohh!) and maintain networks (lots to learn – ping!).

at the moment i work mainly for one if his customers, two girls from slovenia, who run a company that sells very high end skincare products made from pure new zealand organic ingredients! they are still in the start-up-phase, but seem to be growing very fast, the market is obviously there. 95% of their business is overseas (us, canada, europe, australia, china). have a look at moanaskincare !
to start with they needed somebody to help them with everyday mac problems, but soon they needed to organise their company’s data in a central system to make sure everybody can access the same data from anywhere in the world (a lot of travelling is involved) and to avoid multi-version-storage. on top of that they now have to set up a database for all their products, ingredients, packaging and so on. you see, there is heaps to do.

once all that is done, up and running, i will have to learn a lot about networking for delta group, my actual employer and delve into the real IT world!
this job offer came along just before the end of may, and within one week we put all the documents together to apply for residence, handed everything in on may 30. on friday, two days ago, we already got assigned a case officer – very soon, considering immigration’s usual timeframe, he came back to us immediately with the usual questions to verify the job, we will probably have answered those within the next two days, and then it’s waiting again. but everybody says, once you have a case officer, things go fairly quickly! so let’s all hope for the best.

Lieber Elias, das ist wirklich großartig, dass Deine Mutter einen Job gefunden hat 🙂 , aber Du hast mich wohl etwas falsch verstanden. Da ihr zwei ja inzwischen sehr selbsttändige junge Männer seid, muß nicht den ganzen Tag die Mutter um euch herumschwirren, oder?
Am kommenden Wochenende werden Christof, Cornelius und ich einige Tage in Richtung Frankreich fahren und uns Burgund ansehen.

Ich kann kaum glauben, dass die zwei mit Kosmetik zu dem Preis und übers Netz tatsächlich Erfolg haben werden….
Was sagen die Jungs dazu, dass Du jetzt einen Job hast? Oder hat das auf ihren Tagesablauf keine Auswirkung? Wenn ich den Tagesablauf meiner alleinerziehenden Schwester betrachte mit drei Kids und einem Job, dann ist es durchaus machbar, wenn auch dee Preis für meine Schwester hoch ist.
ja, das war wirklich ein erhebendes gefuehl nach so langer zeit. jetzt heisst es natuerlich erst einmal noch abwarten, was immigration dazu sagt. aber da es ein IT job ist, stehen die chancen vielleicht nicht schlecht! es bleibt also spannend!
Oh je, das klingt wirklich noch nach Bauchgrummeln. Ich drücke Dir die Daumen. Was gibt es denn jetzt noch für Hürden? Muss Dein Arbeitgeber eine zeitliche Garatie abgeben ? Musst Du einene Mindestzeit angestellt sein? Wann erfährst Du das Ergebniss? Ich denke an Euch und hoffe, dass alles gut geht. Liebe Grüße

von unserer seite aus ist alles getan, der job ist optimal fuer die residence, weil er unbefristet, erneuerbar und in der IT branche ist. die letzte entscheidung liegt jedoch beim case officer. wann und wie die ausfallen wird, weiss man nicht. bisher ging alles ziemlich schnell. wir haben die application am 30. mai abgegeben und haben letzte woche freitag schon einen case officer bekommen, das ist ziemlich schnell. schau’n wir mal …
Liebe Mariele, das sind ja wundervolle Nachrichten. Ich freue mich für Dich und die Buben. Eine Rückkehr nach D wäre sicher sehr schmerzlich geworden, denn ihr habt euch doch super eingelebt und neue Freunde gefunden. Das Leben hat für euch jetzt festere und berechenbarere Perspektiven und die Zeiten der Unsicherheiten ist vorbei. Gratulation!
