Unbelievable: RESIDENCE APPROVED !!!
we still can’t believe it, we still think we are are dreaming, so unreal! in less then three months since we submitted our “expression of interest” our
APPLICATION FOR RESIDENCE HAS BEEN APPROVED
this process can normally take 6 to 9 months, sometimes even years. so a big thank you to our case officer cameron at immigration and my advisor hanna, awsome work! big thank you to andreas thamm for a phantastic reference, a big thank you to my boss dragan, too! this means we are now allowed to stay indefinitely, no more school fees, after three months i can apply for any other job (if i want to), the boys might even get access to some programs for talented athletes for their tennis, no more visitor fees when seeing the doctor, we will be treated (almost) as normal new zealanders after three and a half years of ups and downs and hopes and failures!
for appropriate celebration – and to catch up with our tradition – we will go to orbit restaurant on skytower on saturday evening since we did not do that for elias’ and my birthday last week! that’s three good reasons.
so have a glass on us!

Lieber Elias! Ja, jetzt ist für euch drei die Zeit der Unsicherheiten vorbei und alle Pläne haben jetzt eine reale Chance und eine Perspektive. Nicht zu wissen, ob man bleiben darf oder in Kürze das Land wieder verlassen muss ist belastend. Denn auch in Deutschland haben sich die Freunde verändert…. Jetzt könnt ihr befreit eure Zukunft planen und habt gleichberechtigte Möglichkeiten in eurer neuen Heimat.
