Mum’s Birthday
Imagine two teenage boys making mum’s birthday a real treat, straight from the heart ! No running to the shops in the last minute and grabbing just any odd thing from the shelves!
Although it was a Friday work and school morning, I woke up to the amazing smell of an even more amazing chocolate sensation! Elias had sacrificed a late evening after tennis and homework (!) and had prepared something that is really worth the name “pure indulgence”, a soft and juicy cake with lots of real chocolate in it – that with a freshly ground and brewed hot coffee – no words for that! But wait, there’s more to come:
Since we always have a tissue box on the dining / breakfast table, Elias handcrafted a beautiful plywood box for the ususally not so pretty carton box to hide in, so neatly done and now sitting proudly on the table.
Thomas replaced an ugly and deprecated kitchen shelf where the veneer was coming off with a beautiful all plywood shelf, all made by himself in our workshop!
Thank you so much to both my boys, this is more than amazing, I love you and I am deeply grateful for all your thought and commitment! I think not many boys your age would do that.
Unforgivably and due to me having to leave for work I did not take a photo of the lovely breakfast table, so you have to imagine that for yourselves. The rest is here for you to see:
